I have never been afraid of dogs. One of my first encounters with one was when I was a baby and got to meet a Rottweiler. I adored him. Though I didn't get my first dog until I was 8, she was so worth the wait. When my mom found her at the pound and we all went to see her, we knew it had to be. I have never been afraid of dogs. One of my first encounters with one was when I was a baby and got to meet a Rottweiler. I adored him. Though I didn't get my first dog until I was 8, she was so worth the wait. When my mom found her at the pound and we all went to see her, we knew it had to be. Even though we had to wait on a list after a few other people, we still got her. I was so happy to finally have a dog. She was part yellow Lab, Whippet, and Terrier, and we named her Daisy.
Though she passed away years ago, I have thought about Daisy every day since. I missed having a dog so much that I started a business taking care of dogs. Since her passing I have had so much experience with other dogs, big and small. I have learned bundles about the importance of communication, proper equipment use, and good leadership. I am so thankful to have such an amazing bond with all of the dogs I take care of, and to also be able to use my skills to help them learn. I currently have a Pomeranian, and he is my greatest friend!
